Dear HRD Programme Team,
Greetings of the Seasons wishing you a Happy and Prosperous 2016.
I have read the call for proposals as the subject indicates but do not see any East African countries shortlisted in Annex "A" of the Programme Strategy raising concern over our eligibility to respond. However we do have a committed interest in delivering Human rights work to the communities.
Tanzania Union of Liberal Persons' Organisation [T.U.L.I.P.O] is a human rights service delivery organ to the communities especially those living in remote rural country and disability issues are inclusive among themes in any of our projects. TULIPO was founded in 2008 and registered in 2009 in Zanzibar.
Currently Zanzibar is undergoing an i ntricate phase of its election results nullified and promises of re-election are being awaited. We at TULIPO deem this as a result of unplaced systems within the Human Rights(HR) respect and dignity towards democratic rule(Good Governance). Thence we view any opportunity at enhancing Human Rights sensitization and protection including HR violations in the region a priori to TULIPO contribute for making appropriate changes and overviews with both state and non state actors intervention and collaborations to the communities and citizenry at large.
Do please advice us appropriately as we stag in responding to the call for proposals. TULIPO is in deere need of assistance at implementing the Human Rights Knowledge and sensitization at creating awareness and use to the communities where our strategic plan is by starting with the communities of the Islands(Unguja and Pemba) and later penetrate the mainland communities.
Therefore we have a lot to cover and do require urgent assistance I hope my query is given priory and direction to current strategy of which FUND it is eligible so that we apply( please state solicited or not) Lastly I wish you, the team and grantees a prosperous 2016-17 season.
