Introduction

Established in June 2006, Kilio cha Waathirika na Waathiriwa Wa UKIMWI Tanzania (KIWWAUTA), Formerly the organization was known as Kilio cha Waathirika na Waathiriwa wa UKIMWI Mbarali (KIWWAUMBA), The organization expanded its area of operation in 2012 and hence its name changed to KIWWAUTA and attained a legal mandate to operate in the mainland Tanzania.

KIWWAUTA strives to be a strong Institution that unifies and empower marginalized groups claim their rights so as to improve the well being of men, women and children through meeting their needs in health care, food, shelter , education and self economic initiatives in the  mainland Tanzania

KIWWAUTA shall endeavor to take charge and endure creativity to pursue change in quality of life and health through Mainstreaming vulnerable groups of people, Youth and Women in the community and engage them to improve their social welfare, individual, family and national economic wellbeing, while operating within values of transparency, accountability, gender equality and solidarity.

About Pamoja Tuwalee Programme

After a long process and a heavy battle, in April 2013 KIWWAUTA emerged a winner to implement Pamoja Tuwalee Program in Mbarali District for three years consecutively (2012-2015) based on the performance. Nevertheless this program intends to empower most vulnerable children to attain their basic needs and rights. The project will be funded by USAID through PACT.  Hence KIWWAUTA is currently seeking to recruit  the followings:-

·           Title: Finance Officer

 Work Station: Rujewa-Mbarali

         Reporting to: Executive Director.

 

 

Duties/Assignments:

·         Oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.

·         Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization.

·         Preparing and maintaining donor agreements and staff contracts.

·         Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures.

·         Obtain approvals from the Director and from the donors on all procurements and purchases for the projects and for the organization.

·         Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.

·         Provide orientation and training to the organization staff on cost-effective management.

·         Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to donors.

·         Oversee the financial audits of all projects of the organization.

·         Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, Human Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration.

Desired Minimum Qualification

·         Bachelor degree or Diploma in Finance/accounts or Business Administration

  • Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili both oral and written;
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, presentation, analytic and strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge and interest in social justice issues.
  • Sensitivity, flexibility, tolerance, a sense of humor, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential matters.
  • A background of working in the charity or NGO sector would be ideal, but not essential and an understanding of/interest in issues around disability as a development and MVC issue will be an added advantage

2.   Title: Program District Coordinator

 Work Station: Rujewa-Mbarali.

         Reporting to: Executive Director.

Duties/Assignments

  • Planning the activities: The manager need to ensure all kinds of  plan for the project, individual working under his/her leadership as well as for the organization.
  • Ensuring the implementation of activities that included the plan
  • Leading the project or program staff and providing guidance considering the needs and requirements of the staff
  • Staff supervision to ensure quality implementation of the project or program activities.
  • Controlling the project staff, activities and finances
  • Financial Management of the project and organization.
  • Ensure quality accounts Management
  • Motivating the staff working for the project or program
  • Organizing events and ensure implementation through maintaining due quality.
  • Capacity building of the staff based on the capacity gap through need assessment.
  • Maintaining coordination, collaboration, linkages with different stakeholders including different level staff of the organization, management as well as donors.
  • Performance management of staff and  rewarding accordingly
  • Providing timely mentoring and coaching to improve the performance and ensure desired level of performance.
  • Financial planning and ensure reporting
  • Ensure program reporting based the requirement of the donor and organization.

Desired Minimum Qualification

·    Bachelor degree in social sciences,

  • Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili both oral and written;
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, presentation, analytic and strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge and interest in social justice issues.
  • Sensitivity, flexibility, tolerance, a sense of humor, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Holders of Masters degree or Masters Student’s finalizing their dissertation will be much favoured/considered.
  • A background of working in the charity or NGO sector would be ideal, but not essential and an understanding of/interest in issues around disability as a development and MVC issue will be an added advantage

 

 

3.   Title: Program Officer Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

 Work Station: Rujewa-Mbarali.

         Reporting to: Executive Director.

Duties and Assignments

  • Be responsible for the M&E work in a  Pamoja Tuwalee program/project
  • Be responsible for undertaking a quarterly update/review of the project database based on visits
  • Maintain close communication with Program district coordinator and other project staffs
  • Be responsible for training of the project staffs on  M&E tools and how to collect information

 

  • Work closely with the Programme district coordinator and Executive Director of KIWWAUTA , and other key project officers in the involved organisations for effective coordination of monitoring activities
  • Support MVCC committee and other stakeholders in putting together a monitoring strategy for all project/programme indicators and building their database
  • Develop and maintain an effective M&E system for the Pamoja Tuwalee project
  • Develop and disseminate case stories from the field and out of database
  • Experience/knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data collection methods
  • A background of working in the charity or NGO sector would be ideal, but not essential and an understanding of/interest in issues around disability as a development and MVC issue will be an added advantage
  • Any other relevant duties assigned

 

Desired Minimum Qualification

·    Bachelor degree in social sciences, i.e Sociology, Community Developments, Social Protection, statistics, Human resources and Public Administration, etc

  • Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili both oral and written;
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, presentation, analytic and strategic thinking.
  • Knowledge and interest in social justice issues.
  • Sensitivity, flexibility, tolerance, a sense of humour, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Holders of Masters degree or Masters Student’s finalizing their dissertation will be much favoured/considered.
  • Systematic personality who pays attention to detail, accuracy and exact evidence
  • A background of working in the charity or NGO sector would be ideal, but not essential and an understanding of/interest in issues around disability as a development and MVC issue will be an added advantage

 

4.   Title: Program Field Officer.

 Work Station: Rujewa-Mbarali.

         Reporting to: Executive Director.

Duties and Assignments

  • Recording MVC  attendance and generating time sheets
  • Modelling appropriate behaviours and attitudes to assist MVC to develop skills and work practices
  • Building relationships with community groups and identifying opportunities/sites .
  • Working closely with MVC Committee and ensuring linking of information between organization and other stakeholders.
  • Collecting  base line survey about the project and beneficiaries
  • Supervising  the existing project staff in the field and train MVCC committee project sustainability
  • Support and facilitate the training and formation of MVC teams for protection, care and support
  • Efficiently organize and carry out coaching visits to MVC teams to improve their ability to identify and solve problems in MVC service delivery and learning sessions for teams to share and learn
  • Participate in the development of materials for trainings, learning sessions, harvest meetings and coaching visits
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports
  • Liaise with the Knowledge management team to document success stories about the improvement interventions
  • Work with the KIWWAUTA  team to plan and carry out the implementation of MVC activities using collaborative quality improvement approach.

 

Desired Minimum Qualification

·    Bachelor degree in social work, or diploma in community development

  • Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili both oral and written;
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, presentation, analytic and strategic thinking.
