Established in June 2006, Kilio cha Waathirika na Waathiriwa Wa UKIMWI Tanzania (KIWWAUTA), Formerly the organization was known as Kilio cha Waathirika na Waathiriwa wa UKIMWI Mbarali (KIWWAUMBA), The organization expanded its area of operation in 2012 and hence its name changed to KIWWAUTA.
Since 2012 KIWWAUTA had a legal mandate to operate in mainland Tanzania. KIWWAUTA dedicated to serve lives of both HIV-infected and non-infected people like disadvantaged groups of Most Vulnerable Children, Older People, Widows and Widowers in the Mainland Tanzania.
From 2006 to 2007 we were working with the then Regional Facilitating Agency (RFA) financed by TACAIDS. From 2008 to date we had been working with The Foundation for Civil Society, TACOSODE, and Help Age International Tanzania for empowerment of OVC, Older people and women but also in line with HIV prevention. Also recently we had signed a contract agreement with PACT to implement Pamoja Tuwalee Program In Mbarali district. So far we have managed to control donor funds.
