Envaya develops and deploys software that empowers and connects civil society organizations around the world.

We build online and mobile tools that allow grassroots organizations to easily create their own websites, and provide larger NGOs better tools to support and communicate with these local efforts.

Background

Envaya’s core belief is that the most effective and sustainable development efforts and solutions begin at the community level. 

Around the world, grassroots civil society organizations (CSOs) play a vital role in society by advocating for positive change, developing new approaches to poverty reduction, and running projects that range from leading HIV/AIDS education programs to planting trees.  Unfortunately, many CSOs lack access to information and communication technologies (ICTs) that would enable their efforts to have a greater impact. Most CSOs have no online presence and therefore have an extremely limited ability to raise funds, communicate with grantmakers, and share resources and ideas with other CSOs and communities.

What Envaya Does

Envaya provides a free, easy-to-use, lightweight, mobile-optimized and fully-translated software platform for CSOs to create and update their own websites.  On envaya.org, organizations with little computer experience can easily create websites to publish their latest news, photos, and documents, share their successes and challenges, and collaborate with other organizations and people around the world. Envaya's toolset includes an online reporting system that allows CSOs to submit structured reports and success stories to participating grantmakers, and publish their reports online.

By providing usable technology that is tailored for the needs of CSOs in developing countries, Envaya is increasing the capacity of the civil society sector to create systemic, positive change.

Tanzania Pilot Program

In May, 2010, Envaya launched its pilot program in Tanzania after several months of development with input from CSOs. More than 700 organizations have already created websites on envaya.org, with many actively adding content to their websites. (See example organizations using Envaya).  Envaya has been received enthusiastically in Tanzania and has already had a meaningful impact on civil society across the country.  The number of CSOs joining Envaya continues to grow based on word of mouth and thanks to the dedication of our partner organizations.  Envaya is now expanding to additional African countries.

Services for Development Agencies and Foundations

Envaya also develops custom software tools in collaboration with large NGOs, international development agencies, and foundations that serve CSOs. For more information, see the Advanced Services page.

Envaya's success in Tanzania has led to a partnership with the Foundation for Civil Society (FCS), one of the largest support NGOs for civil society in Tanzania, to deploy an online monitoring and reporting system for their grants to CSOs. In a landmark step for transparency in international development, Envaya's systems enable FCS to electronically track its grants to CSOs and transparently display results, data, and successes on the internet.

Future Plans

Envaya is continuously working to develop new and better software for grassroots civil society organizations, and develop partnerships with additional organizations and stakeholders in the civil society sector. 

In the near future, Envaya plans to expand to other countries in East Africa and elsewhere around the world.

Envaya is a 501(c)(3) non-profit project that is fiscally sponsored and legally organized in the United States under the Trust for Conservation Innovation.

Envaya msingi wa imani yake ni kwamba ufanisi zaidi na maendeleo endelevu juhudi na ufumbuzi kuanza katika ngazi ya jamii.

Duniani kote, ngazi ya chini mashirika ya kiraia (CSOs) wana mchango mkubwa katika jamii na kutetea mabadiliko chanya, kujenga njia mpya ya kupunguza umaskini, na kuendesha miradi mbalimbali kutoka kuongoza VVU / UKIMWI mipango ya elimu kwa kupanda miti. Kwa bahati mbaya, CSOs wengi hawana huduma ya teknolojia ya habari na mawasiliano (ICTs) ambayo kuwezesha jitihada zao za kuwa na athari kubwa zaidi. CSOs wengi hawana mbele online na hivyo kuwa na uwezo mdogo sana kutafuta fedha, kuwasiliana na grantmakers, na kubadilishana mawazo na rasilimali kwa asasi nyingine na jamii.

Envaya hutoa bure, rahisi kutumia, lightweight, simu-optimized na kikamilifu kutafsiriwa programu jukwaa kwa mashirika ya kiraia ili kujenga na update yao tovuti mwenyewe. On envaya.org, mashirika na uzoefu kidogo kompyuta inaweza urahisi kuunda tovuti kuchapisha habari zao za karibuni photos,, na nyaraka, kushiriki mafanikio yao na changamoto, na kushirikiana na mashirika mengine na watu duniani kote. Toolset Envaya ni pamoja na mfumo wa utoaji wa taarifa online ambayo inaruhusu CSOs kuwasilisha taarifa muundo na mafanikio kwa grantmakers kushiriki, na kuchapisha ripoti zao online.

Kwa kutoa teknolojia usable kwamba ni kulengwa kwa ajili ya mahitaji ya asasi za kiraia katika nchi zinazoendelea, Envaya ni kuongeza uwezo wa sekta ya kiraia kuunda utaratibu, mabadiliko chanya.

Tanzania Pilot Programu ya

Mwezi Mei, 2010, Envaya ilizindua mpango wake wa majaribio katika Tanzania baada ya miezi kadhaa ya maendeleo kwa maoni kutoka kwa asasi za kiraia. Zaidi ya mashirika 700 tayari umba tovuti juu ya envaya.org, huku wengi kikamilifu kuongeza maudhui ya tovuti zao. ( Angalia mashirika ya mfano kwa kutumia Envaya ). Envaya imepatikana shauku katika Tanzania na tayari alikuwa matokeo yenye maana juu ya vyama vya kiraia nchini kote. idadi ya CSOs kujiunga Envaya inaendelea kukua kutokana na neno la shukrani kwa kinywa na kujitolea ya mashirika yetu mpenzi. Envaya sasa ni kupanua kwa nchi ya ziada ya Afrika.

Huduma kwa Wakala wa Maendeleo na Misingi

Envaya pia hujenga zana programu desturi kwa kushirikiana na mashirika yasiyo ya kiserikali kubwa, mashirika ya kimataifa ya maendeleo, na misingi kwamba kumtumikia CSOs. Kwa habari zaidi, angalia Huduma Advanced ukurasa.

Envaya mafanikio katika Tanzania umesababisha kushirikiana na Foundation for Civil Society (FCS), moja ya NGOs kubwa msaada kwa ajili ya vyama vya kiraia katika Tanzania, kupeleka online na mfumo wa ufuatiliaji wa taarifa kwa misaada yao kwa asasi za kiraia. Katika hatua ya kihistoria kwa uwazi katika maendeleo ya kimataifa, Envaya mifumo ya kuwezesha FCS kwa umeme kufuatilia misaada yake kwa asasi za kiraia na uwazi kuonyesha matokeo ya data,, na mafanikio kwenye mtandao.

Mipango ya baadaye

Envaya ni kuendelea kufanya kazi ya kuendeleza mpya na bora programu kwa ajili ya mashirika katika jamii ya kiraia, na kuendeleza ushirikiano na mashirika ya ziada na wadau katika sekta ya asasi za kiraia.

Katika siku chache zijazo, Envaya mipango ya kupanua na nchi nyingine katika Afrika Mashariki na kwingineko duniani.
