MAZINGIRA HATARISHI KWA WAKAZI WA BONDE LA MTO MZINGA.

Baada ya mafuriko kulikumba jiji la Dar es salaam hapo tarehe 20/12/2011 na kuacha hasara kubwa kwa wakazi wa jiji hili,serikali ilichukua hatua za dharura kuhakikisha kuwa huduma za chakula,malazi na mavazi zinaendelea zinaendelea kupatikana kwa waathirika wa mafuriko hayo.

Ukubwa wa tatizo hili umesababisha baadhi ya familia kuwa na hali ngumu ya kimaisha kutokana na ukweli kwamba nyingi za familia zilipoteza mali zote .Serikali kwa kujali ustawi wa wananchi wake imetenga eneo la kuwahifadhi wahanga wa mafuriko hayo nje kidogo ya jiji la Dar es salaam maarufu kama Mabwebande.

Maeneo yaliyoathirika sana kwa mafuriko hayo ni kimara,ubungo,mburahati,hananasifu,bonde la msimbazi na jangwani kwa kutaja machache.Bonde la mto mzinga liko mbagala misheni kando ya barabara ya kilwa.Mto huu ni moja kati ya maeneo yaliyoathirika vibaya kutokana na mafuriko hayo,lakini kwa bahati mbaya hakuna taarifa zozote zinazoonesha kuwepo kwa hatua za dharura za kuwasaidia wakazi wa eneo hilo.

Hali ya maisha ya wakazi wa eneo hili yako hatarini kwa kuwa nyumba nyingi ziko karibu na mto huu.Licha ya ukaaribu wa mto huu,vile vile,kiwanda cha nguo cha KTM [karibu textile mill]ni tatizo jingine linaloongeza hatari kwa maisha ya wakazi katika eneo hilo.Kiwanda hicho kinatiririsha maji machafu kupitia makazi ya watu,hali ambayo ni hatari kwa afya zao.

Mifumo ya maji na miundo mbinu yake hili hakuna hali ambayo inapelekea wakazi wake kutumia maji ya mto huo kwa shughuli za kijamii kama vile kufulia,kuogea na kulishia mifugo.Eneo la mto mzinga linachukua mitaa ya ngadu,kizinga,bughudadi,mashine ya maji namba tano na misheni,lakini maeneo yote hayajatambuliwa kama maeneo yaliyoathiriwa kwa mafuriko .Baadhi ya nyumba ziko karibu kabisa na mkondo wa maji wa mto huo,hivyo kuongeza uwezekano wa kutokea kwa madhara zaidi pindi mvua za masika zitakapoanza hapo mwezi machi

Tatizo lingine linaloweza kuwakumba wakazi wa eneo hili ni kupata magonjwa ya ngozi kutokana ukweli kwamba maji yanayotoka kiwandani yana kemikali zinazoweza kumdhuru mwanadamu kirahisi.Kemikali hizo ni zile zinazotupwa kutoka kiwandani bila mpangilio maalumu.Wakazi wanaoishi upande wa mashariki mwa mto huo,wapo ndani kabisa ya mkondo wa bahari ya hindi.

Chini utaweza kuona picha mbalimbali za mto,nyumba na mshine ambayo hutumika kuchujia maji na kuyapeleka kiwandani na mashine hiyo imekuwa ni chanzo kelele kwa wakazi wa eneo hilo na hutoa moshi mchafu ambao una madhara kwa afya za binadamu.
