I think that we can do everything inorder to overcome this problem. – In my side I have already start to overcome this problem, but me alone I can't make solution of this problem. – So I want to advice my fellow teacher or even if you are not a school teacher me also I'm not a sschool teacher please do everything to help the students special in this English subject.

Since it is evident that charity begins at home, or in kiswahili we say 'Samaki mkunje bado mbichi,' initiatives have to start during the early stages of studentship, other wise imposing a totaly foreign language to grown up students seems like a big burden to them, hence the negativity. I was a teacher in Wete, Pemba. In my experience students very much wanted to learn English, but a main challenge was the language change from Kiswahili to English between Primary and Secondary school. This was very difficult and intimidating for students. Also, even many of the English teachers had trouble with English. – Changing the full education system will be hard, but having extra tutoring programs for english will be very helpful for students....
