HISTORY OF OUR ORGANISATION

Tapdo was founded in year 2009 under NGO Act 4/2002. It has 6 members and the Board of Directors of 8 members. There are 6 men and 2 women

STATUS: TAPDO is  non partisan and does not engage in party politics

OUR VISION: Elite Developed Community

MISSION:To bring about cultural,social and Economic Development to Tanzanian citizen

GEOGRAPHICAL COVERAGE: The Headquater is in Tanga City but we have outreach clients from 7 remaining Districts

OBJECTIVES:

 1. To advocate to the rights of the vulnerable groups in the Community spscifically the old and poor.

2. To serves as an Information Center that can be responsible for the collection and dissemination of valuable information to the Community and to mobilize youth to engage in Cultural and social activities.

3. To promote the culture of human rights, respect, democracy and good governance.

4. To Act as supplement to the government, Developments, Activities such Education, Health and also in combating hazardous cross- cutting issues such HIV/Aids ,fllds, draught and other distastes.

5. To enstablish and maintain long term relationship with its clients through personalized and friendly services.

6. To provide legal consultrancy services in the folloing areas:-

     (i)  Labor Institution Act No 7/2004, the Employment and Labor Relation   Act No, 6/2006 and any Law relating to the labor matters.

     (ii)  Arbitration and Mediation.

     (iii)  Employment counseling.

     (iv)  Hiring of expateiates.

     (v)   Representing clients in labor relating disputes in the commission of Mediation and Aebitration (CMA).

     (VI)  Legal drafting.

     (vii)  Occupational Health and Safety Agency.

7.  Lobbying and Advocacy to local communities on preservation of Anvironment, water sources and Utilization of proper Sanitation.

8.  To do all such other activities members believe to be incidental to or conducive to attainment of all or any of the above objectives.
