The Secretariat

ORSHI operates with a minimal team of experienced personnel. This team supports and advises all levels of the organization: AGM, Board of Directors, and individual members. We build and manage relationships with partners and donors, then work to ensure ORSHI’s commitments to these organizations are met.

Moses Wambura

Executive Director

Moses is responsible for the development and implementation of ORSHI’s vision and goals. He is responsible for resource mobilization, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners, donors, governments, and other agencies, including members.

Moses has over 20 years of experience in community development. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology. He has also attended several courses in NGOs Management, Participatory Project Planning and Management, Strategic Planning, Training on Social Accountability Monitoring (SAM), Public Expenditure Tracking Surveys (PETs), Tourism Management, and other short courses, seminars, and workshops. 

Waisile Bairi

Head of Programs

Waisile has experience in managing development projects and social services interventions in emergencies, as well as managing multi-donor projects and partnership projects. He joined ORSHI from Jhpiego Tanzania where he worked for 8 years. He also previously worked with Care International, Good Neighbours as a Program Officer in his career. 

Mwita Masubo Mahende

Head of Finance

Mwita leads the finance department and advises the Board on subjects of management, value for money, and effective use of resources. He is also responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports, filling and payment of statutory returns and tax, maintaining proper books of accounts, reconciliations, audit matters, and payroll. He holds an MSc in Economics and Finance for Development from the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania, as well as a Professional Qualification CPA (T), and Advanced Diploma in Accountancy.

Nollasko Mgimba

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Nollasko channels his experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM) to lead the development of comprehensive, robust, and functional Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam as well as a Master of Arts in Monitoring & Evaluation from the Open University of Tanzania. 

Dismas Patrick

Programs Coordinator

Dismas is leading communication and advocacy activities and manages the Agribusiness and youth engagement projects. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Dar es Salaam.

Nathaniel Asseno

Agriculture Specialist

Nathaniel leads the agriculture projects. He coordinates activities in agricultural value chains particularly rice, horticulture, sunflower, and coffee.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He attended (both local and international) training in Solar, wind Technology, and Irrigation pumps, water treatment/ supply systems, tanks construction works/fittings, and services.

Thomas Mangira

WASH Specialist

Thomas leads the water supply projects. He coordinates activities in WASH.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering. He attended training in Solar, wind Technology, water treatment/ supply systems, tanks construction works/fittings, and services.

Shadrack Mwita

Field Officer

Shadrack coordinates the Education Projects. He has more than 10 years of experience in planning, implementing, and managing donor-funded projects in the NGOs sector. He worked also with different religious organizations in different community development-related programs/ projects for more than 5 years.

He has attended several courses such as Project Planning and Management, and seminars/ workshops. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (History and English Language).

Cleophace Rigobert

Field Officer

Cleophace coordinates the Health Project. He has 15 years of experience in implementing and managing donor-funded projects in the organization and other organizations he worked with.

Also, he has been working with different organizations in different community development-related projects/ programs for 5 years. His prior experience in managing those projects is a valuable asset. He has also attended several seminars and workshops on Youth sexual and Sexuality, Life skills, 1st Aid, Health and safety at workplaces, fire fighting.

He holds a Diploma in Community Development from Buhare Community Development Training Institute.

Donald Onyango Kicha

Field Officer

Donald coordinates the Environmental Conservation Project. He has 3 years of experience in implementing and managing donor-funded projects in the organization and other organizations he worked with. Also, he has been working with different organizations on different community development-related projects.

He holds a Diploma in General Agriculture from the MATI Uyole Agriculture College.

Mecktirida F. Maginga

Admin Assistant cum Receptionist

Mecktirida manages the front desk and the logistics for ORSHI events. She takes care of organizing the logistics for travel, events, and procurement. Before joining ORSHI in 2020, she worked with TAWASANET as a CEO Secretary. Mecktirida holds a diploma of French from the Alliance Française of Dar es Salaam. 

Edward Magese

Driver & Logistician

Edward is responsible for vehicle maintenance, office errands, and safe transport of team members. He holds an Advanced Drivers Certificate from the National Institute of Transport (NIT) and has over 15 years of experience.


Our Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the ORSHI activity plan.
  • Encourage members to participate in, and contribute to ORSHI objectives.
  • Ensure all donor projects are completed and commitments are met.
  • Plan and prepare the detailed project and organizational budgets.
  • Assist Board to define the structure and strategy of the ORSHI to maximize its impact.
