BORESHA Capacity Development Organization (BCDO) is a non governmental, national development organization striving to eliminate hunger, poverty and disease though community empowerment and capacity development process (provision of both theoretical educational awareness and practical trainings) in the poorest, most isolated rural villages of Tanzania
This NGO was established in 2010 as a community based organization (CBO) operating in Mwanza region only, in 2012 the ministry of community development, gender and children under the non governmental organizations act, no. 24/2002 granted Boresha Capacity Development Organization a new status of an NGO. Change of status from CBO to NGO was a response to MKUKUTA and Kilimo kwanza policy aiming at bringing sustainable livelihood, improved agriculture outputs and sustainable environmental conservation so as to contribute to the growth of sustainable national economy.
Boresha Capacity Development Organization is a national NGO but currently works in Lake zone regions of Tanzania Mainland which includes Mwanza, Shinyanga, Mara, Geita and Kagera, supporting Farmers, Fishing communities, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders including local government, CBO/NGO’s, Donors and private institutions.
