Beyond Education Development Initiatives (BEDI) is a non- governmental organization [NGO] which is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization. It deals with Development of people youth in particular, through active participatory training covering development, Legal aid, social, political, and economic issues to enhance youth and vulnerable people through active participation in developing themselves, their society, their country and the world at large. BEDI was established to facilitate schools in Tanzania enter the honorable competition for knowledge and performance through improved teaching and learning environment, nutrition and health status, education policy, cross cutting issues of environmental gender equality, Good governance and HIV/AIDS. BEDI carries out training, research, consultancy and advocacy at selected debatable public interests. Its membership largely includes education practitioners, lawyers, sociologists, and business experts who are committed to provide political and socio- economic education and legal aid to the society.
