Drip is an irrigation method that saves water and fertilizer by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants through a network of valves, and pipes.
Sunflower is one of the important crops in small scale farming communities. Sunflower contributes a lot as livelihood for small scale farmers. Sunflower is the source of cooking oil, animal feeds as well as income for farmers. The crop is adaptable to dry conditions which characterize some part of the Tanzanian rural areas. MVIWAMO is mobilizing and sensitizing farmers to engage in sunflower farming. Over 196 farmers from MVIWAEKE (Arusha rural), MVIWAKO and MVIWABU local networks in Monduli supported using demonstration plots in their areas.

MVIWAMO is supporting honey production as potential interventions to provide income, employment and reduce poverty among rural households in Arusha region. The key concept lays on honey production, value addition, poverty reduction, resulting on rural development.
MVIWAMO uses concept of Quality Declared Seed as a strategy to increase the availability of quality seed for the agricultural community. Quality declared seed has been widely used as a source of practical information on seed standards for a wide range of crop species and agro-ecologies for the development of the agricultural sector. MVIWAMO implemented QDS in Meru, Arusha rural and Monduli districts, more than 96 farmers (41 men and 55 female) are full engaged in QDS interventions.
