In 2008 Alumni members of the Hotel and tourism Development Institutte saw it wise to have an organ addressing Eco-tourism issues and Sunday meetings manged to produce and style an association to the effect. because most of the discussions and deliberations were done spontaneously and so the association or organisation became known as a FORUM to which on constitution and managing was registered as a non profit making, non governmental and non religious entity within the civil based arrangements with a heart to volunteer at having an instrument coalescing and coordinating Eco-tourism in the country. To have a positive effect other intrested parties and individuals were invited and collaborated at  creating the FORUM as it is now. Currently it forges  astrategic plan addressing crucial eco-tourism issues in the islands as well as realted agencies at home and abroad. The Forum looks forward to studious service to government and communities alike at benefitting from tourism endowments equitably in the futurre at addressing development from abject poverty lines and sound but clear progress of our gist at natural resources protection, conservation of historical places, enhancing and promotion of cultural ties and relations as well as appreciate traditional heritage
