THE AFRICA FOR CIVIL SOCIETY (TACS)Is a not-for-profit organization in the country working since 2005, well known nationally and internationally, for its commitment to work with marginalized sections of the society and empower them attain dignified quality life. It was registered as an organization in 2007 by the Tanzania mainland ACT 2002 recipient JOHN WARIOBA and 15 other like-minded officials of social worker, from 2015 up to 2016 TACS has inreasing awareness of rights of child among children; A total of 1500 children who worked in domestic service have successed helped on identify the violations of their rights; to strengthen ability of the child to report the violations of the rights of a child; to increase confidence amoung children to speak up any action that abuses children. Moreover, TACS increases social interaction and exposure among children, and increase confidence amoung children in protecting oneself. However, TACS has empowered rural women on techical asistance Education Program for self reliance. Under Community Development Program, there has been impact on the lives of around 1200 women through land management and rural women empowerment program, 20 villagers through land managment and 2200 rural community empowering for child right programs. Apart from this, TACS has a full-fledged Skill Up gradation Program which has converted hundreds of young women into skilled and productive members of society. |
