Awareness raising
In awareness raising, outreach campaigns are conducted to reduce HIV transmission, stigma and discrimination.
Home Based Care services
Clients are provided with the following; physical, mental, spiritual and social services. During home visits; fruits, nutritive flour, soap and others were supplied to the needy on availability.
Promotion to living positively with HIV/AIDS
Group therapy sessions meetings are conducted weekly in all branches for the purpose of encouraging one another, sharing experience and facts about being sero positive, also members are encouraged to disclose their sero-status as self disclosure is the entry point to living positively. During sessions the following topics are discussed: Psychological support Emotion control and positive thinking Skin infection and fungal management Nutrition and diet management Health of mind and stress control How to fight self stigma Benefits of herbal therapy/medication Water therapy Factors contributing to nutrients absorption/mall-absorption
Poverty alleviation
On poverty alleviation members are encouraged to form Village Community Banking (VICOBA) groups where they can buy shares for the purpose of being eligible to apply for loans. ANEPHA+ has also succeeded to establish a poultry project with 200 layers.
