“PATNA” stands as an acronym for “Poverty Alleviation for Tanzania Natives". The legal status of PATNA is that of a Non-Governmental Organization (or NGO), non-profit, voluntary and charity institution devoted to carry out its vision, mission and objectives.
The organization is envisioned to see the society being free from challenges brought by abject poverty in Tanzania. =====================================================

Is registered to conduct its operations throughout the geographical area of Tanzania. We fight poverty because it is the biggest threat and enemy to the wellbeing of our society. Poor people are prone to hunger, diseases and ignorance. PATNA supports effort of the government of Tanzania and other development partners in eradicating poverty in the society as far as the "Goal Number 1" of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's 2030) is concerned.

This country is found on the East African Coast approximately between latitudes 1°S to 12°S and longitudes 29° to 40'E. It shares its borders with Kenya and Uganda to the north; Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the west; Zambia and Malawi to the south-west and Mozambique to the South; while to the east is the Indian Ocean.
