Tanzania Network of Journalists Living with HIV/AIDS (TNJ+) was one of the 40 Non-Governmental Organizations that participated in the Envaya training seminar yesterday (May 31st 2010) which was held at Golden Park Hotel, Sinza in Dar es Salaam. Participants in the seminar practised placing information and photos in their website and exchanged experiences of networking. We were happy to hear that Envaya would in the near future create a page of funders with whom the small NGOs would contact for support. We were also excited to hear from Envaya Executive Director Joshua Stern and Programme Manager Radhina Kipozi that Envaya is contacting Vodacom so as to make it possible for NGOs linked to Envaya to send information in the form of text messages to their websites through their handsets. This would be of great help and importance to NGOs upcountry which do not have access to computer services.
Representatives of NGOs present at the seminar were very much delighted by this information about plans for text messaging to their websites and the establishment of a funders page.
