Invest in Women Organization (IWO) is a local organization which work with community at a grass root level to the high level, started its activities since 2010 in voluntary basis aiming on empowering the marginalized Women and Girls to understands their rights and take responsibilities on their key roles economically, Socially and Politically which will bring changes in their life style.

Our organization’s purpose is to facilitate changes among the community of marginalized Women and girls by investing on them various knowledge and skills, which focuses on their rights and related policies

Organization main goal is to promote and increase the awareness of the marginalized community of women and Girls in understanding their rights and responsibilities to their key roles through imparting different knowledge and skills which will make them participate and involve economically, Socially and Politically in a given Society, hence livelihood improvement.

Our main beneficiaries are Women, girls and most vulnerable Children who are marginalized to information, rights and policies.

Organization is registered as Non Governmental Organization, under the ministry of Community development, gender and Children under NGO Act 2002

The overall objective is to:

To promote and to increase the awareness of women and Girls in understanding their socio-economic rights hence livelihood improvement.

 VISION

Strong group of Health Women and Girls, participate and involve in Socio-economic activities within the community.

Mission:

To make IWO as an engine that facilitate changes on women and Girls through Creation of awareness, Capacity Building, Conducting of trainings, advocacy and robbing strategies which will enable them to identify their own socio – economic Challenges and finding solutions on how to work with their own Challenges, within their Communities

• Women groups which are willing to work with IWO
• Women Organization Networks which are used to give the different information and knowledge on women empowerment such as TANZANIA GENDER NETWORKING PROGRAMME (TGNP) & SEARCH FOR COMMON GROUND, AND WOMEN FUND TANZANIA (WFT), Tanzania.
• Good collaboration with local leaders on working with community
• Community based facilitators who are willing to volunteer on working with IWO
• Different trainings that Organization receives from other partners contribute on adding value to Organization interventions.
• Donors who are willing to give fund for Organization activities

IWO THREATS/OBSTACLES:-

• Economic instability
• Political willing
• Environmental changes    

 

IWO Strategic issues:-
1.Insufficiency source of income in women and Girls contributes to poverty and HIV infection.
2.Low level of education is among the obstacles to majority of women and girls in realization of their socio-economic rights
3. Persistence of harmful traditional practices among the community is the major cause of gender based violence.
4.
