Jean Media is now in the process of officially going on air in Mtwara on there on going project of the Community Radio called MTWARA FM. The programs have already been aligned . Mtwara has very High expectations for this particular community Radio which will be the first Radio Station to carry the name of the region in its Title which is Mtwara FM. The streets of Mtwara are now buzzing with the sounds of Mtwara fm on test transmittion. JEAN media is now in a struggle to run the Mtwara Community Radio with a few volunteer officers. The main issue at the moment is to find a way to take care of running costs of the community Radio. We have already prepare program schedule we are now on to making programs for the station which will involve the staff visiting the community in their rural areas – JEAN media offices has also relocated to Mtwara for the time being with a few staff in Dar-es-salaam just... A Representative for Mtwara Communty Radio RADHINA KIPOZI is currently in Pemba,Micheweni attending a workshop on technical training for community Radios in TANZANIA. The workshop was organized by UNESCO, MISATAN, and UNITED NATIONS.
