Swissaid is funding KIMWAM to Support Grassroot organisations in Mtwara region including small scale fishing groups, famers groups and small business. Kimwam is also running microfinance (Grameen model and revolving fund) in partnership with Swissaid Tanzania. Grameen and revolving fund has helped coastal communities and fishers groups to improve their living standard such as buying clothes, food, and good houses and be able to buy improved fishing gears.
