1.-(1) ORGANIZATION PROFILE

a)      Name

The name of the organization is TANZANIA VISION EMPOWERMENT SOCIETY, thereafter referred to as TAVESO.

b)     Status

TAVESO is a Non-Governmental Organization working in all Regions of Tanzania mainland.

c)      The Registered Office

The head office of TAVESO is located in same -Kilimanjaro Tanzania. Other branch offices may be established in any other regions of Tanzania, as time and need may require.

d)     Address

The address of TAVESO is P. O. Box 138 Same

2. – (1) General Objective

To improve the quality of life for rural Tanzanians through capacity building to the community and other stakeholder, provide extension services and income generation for sustainable development.

     (2) Specific Objectives

(a)  To promote and building capacity of the community and other NGOs, INGOs, Companies, CBOs, CSOs and Government entities by creating or rising awareness amongst the diverse strata of the society for development.

(b)  To facilitate income generation activities and socio-economic initiatives for poverty alleviation and sustainable development.

(c) To partner with government, local/international universities/research institutions and Civil  

     Society Organizations (CSOs) dealing with developmental issues to support rural         

     Development   

(d)To act as a gateway to the community around Kilimanjaro region through which    many

     Projects will be initiated.

(e) To create an association in school and colleges concerning with Pro-life, this will help to promote life in the community

(f) To propose or conduct research in various governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations with view of establishing documenting to the public especially among poor or vulnerable groups in the society and share them broadly.

(g) Through collaboration with other Non-Government Organization and Government to promote and replicate conservation programs to other organizations, with a view of creating awareness among the society

(h) To improve the welfare of the members and the surrounding communities though their participation in income generating activities

(i) To raise awareness of gender mainstreaming on environmental conservation and natural resources initiatives.

The TAVESO vision is “to become strong and credible organization that supplements government effort in archiving social, economic, environment, education, justice, and welfare that contribute wellbeing of the society”

The mission of TAVESO is “to mobilize rural society to use available resources effectively and efficiently through participatory research and social networking for sustainable development”.
