Tumeshuhudia wakati wa mafuriko yaliyotokea jijini Dar es Salaam mwishoni mwa mwaka jana kwenye kambi nyingi za Waathirika wa mafuriko hayo tumeshuhudia makundi makubwa ya Watoto, Wanawake na Wazee wachache wakihitaji msaada wa hali na mali ili kuhakikisha wanarejea kwenye maisha yao ya awali.

Serikali kwa upande wake ilijitolea kutekeleza wajibu wa kuhakikisha waliojenga mabondeni hawarejei tena hata baada ya mvua kuisha. Ilijitoa kwa kila hali ikiwa ni pamoja na kuhakikisha Wahanga hao wanahifadhiwa katika maeneo salama kwa muda huo kabla ya kuhamishiwa katika maeneo yatakayokuwa makazi yao ya kudumu ya Mabwe Pande.

Wakati Serikali ikitekeleza jukumu lake hilo, Vyama vya Hiari visivyo vya Kiserikali navyo vilichukua nafasi zao ikiwa ni pamoja na kuwafariji na kutoa kiasi kidogo walivyokuwa navyo kwa ajili ya kuthamini utu wa ndugu zetu hao.

 Ikumbukwe kuwa kulikuwa na familia zenye watoto wanaosoma katika shule za karibu na mazingira yao yaliyoathiriwa, wapo waliokuwa wakifanya kazi katika maeneo ya karibu na hawakuhitaji kutumia nauli kwenda Ofisini kabla ya mafuriko hayo na sasa fursa hiyo haipo tena.

 Hawapati huduma zile walizozizoea mwanzo, licha ya kuwa ni faraja kwao kwa Serikali kuwahakikishia kupata viwanja na misaada mingine; hali kwao imekuwa ni tafrani, kupata vifaa vyao vya awali vilivyoenda na mafuriko k.m. vitu vyote vya jikoni, samani video, fridge na wengine ofisi yote kama ya Stationery nakadhalika.

Katika kuonyesha umoja wa Kitaifa Serikali kupitia Ofisi ya Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Dar es Salaam, ikaonyesha viwanja vilivyopimwa na baadhi yaTasisi zikaanza  ujenzi wa Mahema kwa viwango vya Kimataifa ambayo wanaweza kuishi watu watano hadi sita.

Wakizungumzia maisha ya makazi mapya wakazi waliohamishiwa Mabwe Pande wanasema ni jukumu lao kuhakikisha maeneo hayo yanakuwa salamana yenye kufikika kwa urahisi kwa kujenga nyumba bora (Satelite City).
