Kupitia mradi wake wa 'TEGEMEZA' inaendesha kampeni juu ya kujikinga na maambukizi ya VVU/UKIMWI, katika programu hii COLD imedhamiria kueneza ufahamu wa jinsi ya kujikinga ili kupunguza maambukizi mapya nchini Tanzania. Mpango huu unalenga kuondoa imani potofu kuhusu VVU/UKIMWI na kuhakikisha kuwa jamii ina habari sahihi zitakazowasaidia kufanya maamuzi sahihi. Mpango huu umekusudia:- 1. Kuhamasisha jamii kufikiri kuhusu mapenzi na kuwaruhusu kutathmini madhara yatokanayo na aina yoyote ya mapenzi. 2. Kuwafundisha watu jinsi ya kupunguza madhara ya maambukizi kwa kuwahamasisha kuacha ngono, kuchelewa kujiingiza katika vitendo vya ngono, kutumia kondomu na kupunguza idadi ya wenzi wao. 3. Kuwapa watu ujasiri na silaha ili waweze kujadiliana na wenzi wao kuhusu suala la mapenzi. 4. Kuwasaidia watu kuelewa madhara ya kuwa muathirika na kuhamasisha kutunza afya zao kwa kadri iwezekanavyo ili kupunguza uwezekano wa kuambukizwa. 5. Kuwapa ufahamu walezi namna ya kuwahudumia waathirika wa VVU/UKIMWI walio majumbani.

Through its project of 'sustain' runs campaigns on prevention and HIV / AIDS, the Cold program is committed to spreading awareness of precautions to reduce new HIV infections in Tanzania. This initiative aims to remove misconceptions about HIV / AIDS and ensure that the community has accurate information that will help make the right decisions. This program is intended to: - 1. Mobilizing the community to think about sex and allow to evaluate the effects of exposure to any kind of sex. 2. Teaching people how to reduce the effects of sexual transmission by encouraging them to stop, delay engaging in sexual acts, condom use and reducing the number of their partners. 3. To give people confidence and weapons so they can negotiate with their partners about the issue of sex. 4. Helping people understand the harm that the victim and to encourage their health care as possible to reduce the chance of infection. 5. Giving carers understanding how to treat victims of HIV / AIDS who are at home.
