UVIKITWE GROUP, kupitia ufadhili wa The Foundation For Civil Society, imefanikiwa kutekeleza mradi  wa uelimishajirika kwa vijana kuhusu athari za matumizi ya dawa za kulevya na uhusiano wake na maambukizi ya VVU/UKIMWI. Mradi huu umetekalezwa katika wilaya ya Bagamoyo  ndani ya kata sita ambazo ni Vigwaza,Chalinze,Ubena,Msata,Miono na Kiwangwa. Mradi huu umeweza kuwafikia vijana tisini (90) wanaotumia na wasiotumia dawa za kulevya.

Mafanikio ya mradi

  • Kuanzishwa na kusajiliwa kwa CBOs  kumi (10) zinazo toa elimu hii kwa jamii.
  • Vijana wapatao  12  waliokuwa wanatumia dawa za kulevya , wameweza kujitambua na kuachamatumizi ya dawa za kulevya
  • Vijana wanne  4 wameweza kuteuliwa na kuingia kwenye kamati za ukimwi za kata na kuwakilsha kwenye kamati za WODC ngazi ya kata

Changamoto tulizokutana nazo.

  • Mahitaji  ya jamii husika kuwa juu kuliko uwezo wa taasisi
  • Uhitaji wa elimu ya stadi za maisha kwa jamii yote, kama nyenzo ya kuleta mabadiliko ya tabia.
  • Wilaya ya Bagamoyo kuwa njia kuu ya kuingiza dawa za kulevya kutoka  Zanzibara, ambako ndiyo njia kuu ya kuingizia dawa za kulevya kutoka nchi za nje.B

UVIKITWE GROUP, through sponsorship of The Foundation For Civil Society,  successfully implement a project for young people about the effects of drug use and its relationship with HIV / AIDS. This project has been implimented in Bagamoyo district into six wards, which are Vigwaza, Chalinze, Ubena, Msata, Miono and Kiwangwa. This project has been able to reach young ninety (90) who use and do not use drugs.

The success of the project

  • Established and registered CBOs in ten (10) those that provide this education to the community.
  • About 12 youngsters who were using drugs, they can recognize and kuachamatumizi drugs
  • Four youths have been appointed by four entering the AIDS committees and ward committees WODC.

Encounted challenges.

  • Needs of the community above the capacity of institution
  • The need for life skills education for the whole community, as a tool to bring about behavior change.
  • Bagamoyo District was a great way to import drugs from Zanzibara, which is the main way of entry of drugs from foreign countries. B
