Objectives of TAHECAP

 

To mobilize the government, non- government organizations, international organizations, community and other stakeholders toward provision of HEALTHCARE in Tanzania.

 

 

To demonstrates care and concern for HIV/ AIDS victims through counseling and legal support.

 

 

To initiate self-employment programs by involving people in small and large production.

 

To establish sustainable plans aiming at preparing and involving men and Women in HEALTHCARE issues.

 

To increase provision of good governance in health sector

 

To encourage youth awareness and participation in different activities so as to solve their social-economical problems

 

To encourage a genuine youths participation and give them a chance of utilizing their available resources and experience to solve their social and economic problems

 

To encourage the exchange programmes within the District, Region, and National and out side the country with the aim of sharing experience

 

PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED BY TAHECAP

 

1.       Prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV,AIDS in three wards of            Kinondoni district

           This project was funded by the foundation of civil society 2007

                  

 

2.         Provision of PMTCT services in Ilala Municipal 2008 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and World Bank 2006

                   

 

3.        Public expenditure trucking in Same district-Kilimanjaro; funded by the Foundation for Civil Society 2009

 

4.       Provision of Antiretroviral services in Kinondoni Municipal; funded by the Embassy of Ireland (Irish Aid) 2008

 

5.       To increase the capacity among local communities on social accountability monitoring in health-Same/Mwanga; funded by the Foundation of civil sociaety-2011-2013                   

6.        Metabolic disease among elderly in Songea/ Iringa

          This project was conducted in collaboration with Help Age   International.
