ABSTRACT
Thirty percent (30%) of Geita region is covered by Forest resource, however most of the region population is vulnerable under absolute poverty, this as to say there is poor utilization of Forest resource particularly in Bee-keeping which could improve human nutrition and rise up individual’s economy after the harvest of bee-wax which is to be consumptive as food or sold within a family level.
Implementation of the project would involve the participatory approach in which the whole community will be included as one among of stakeholder of the project with collaboration to Geita district and town councils.
With correspondence to education provision concerning the program of Bee-keeping and educating on different benefits on which will be obtained especially socially, economically, and environmentally when the project will be implemented.
Hence the community would not continue to suffer or being vulnerable and/or engulfing poverty in their families instead there is a positive solution of the existing problem through utilization of Geita forest resource (Bee-keeping)
Putting it into consideration due to its importance to the residents of Geita region and facilitating Forest resource conservation in Geita region, REMA as Non- Governmental Environmental organization decided to establish “Bee-keeping project in Geita region” so as to improve human health, poverty eradication and emphasizing  environmental conservation within three years as the starting session of the project, otherwise the project life span will be expanded correspondence with budget availability since REMA as  company limited by Guarantee and not having a share capital Association.
In order to run the project in a proper way, about sixty three million eight hundred thousand seventy eight thousand and nine hundred (63,878,900/=)  is required so as to step the project (Bee-keeping in Geita Region) as illustrated in the table  which is calculated and approximated to run the project until the end of its life span of three years.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1    HISTORY OF AN ORGANIZATION
Rescue Mazingira is stated in brief as REMA was established for and is working toward developing the Environments in a sustainable manner and developing women, Children and The Society as whole to improve their socio – economic status. The association was founded in 2012 by   a group of likeminded persons focused on community development ideas such as
•    To improve the environmental health, water and sanitation and wellbeing of the most vulnerable communities, while protecting the country’s natural environmental through building community resilience in response to an increasing volatile climate.
•    To help women develop their talents and capabilities so as to be able to fight and alleviate poverty among themselves and other women community by helping them advance their thinking capacity for their full utilizations of local and available recourse for their own development.
•    To assist children in need, orphans, disabled, the aged and school drop out by offering technical education meant, for self reliance to make them self-reliant in their life.
•    To establish centers for training and children care where needs arises
•    To protect individuals, the environment –marine terrestrials, atmospheric and spatial-any ecosystem, community or habitat from any threat by human action and to ensure the earth, oceans, sky, and space remain for the enjoyment and sustainable use of all in perpetuity.
•    To enhance socio-economic development of the community with the special emphasis on youth, men, women and other magnification.

REMA believes that Africa and the world over have necessary means and resources to alleviate Environmental degradation, if there is a genuine commitment and co- operation on all nations in this world. REMA also believes that the disadvantaged people in Tanzania are fully aware of their problems and are very keen and determined to reverse their problems through their efforts, and initiatives should be supported by donors. It is in this perspective that REMA play the facilitating role in assisting the marginalized segment of society to optimize their potentialities though popular participation.
In the same context one would generalize that REMA articulates the interest of the people at grass root level in areas of Environmental conservation and protection, orphanage welfare facility, health and evaluation facilities and women Empowerment.
The approach we intend to involve the participation of the people at grass root level right from the project inception in areas of decision making planning implementation monitoring and evaluation.
It is indeed imperative that imparting Environment community educations to the people would play the role of inflicting behavioral change toward Environmental restorations and there by alleviating poverty which is now rampant. Never the less where one individual spends below 1 USD (about 0. 5) per day and about 72 % of the workforce  are engaged In agriculture in their Environment protection and orphans care and supports are crucial matter in this pro likelihood, hence land use management.

1.2    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS IN GEITA
Environmental degradation and destruction has been inherent character of traditional in Geita both   rural and urban basing an traditional values. Norms and lack of technical knowhow, ignorance and lack of civil competence as regards to environment conservations and protection. However, lake Victoria basin faces an ecological imbalances the natural resources in lake basin are under heavy stress by rapid increase in population growth the lake and its basin are a common source of food supply water for domestic use and the main recipient for human agriculture and industrial waste.
The lake ecosystem is being seriously impacted upon by water hyacinth however increased human activities including poor land practices as well as in controlled pollutions of water bodies’ impact on the quality and quantity. Available water management has become an important water priority because of accelerated entrophication and other forms of degradation of the resource base.

Sustainable development of basin will always depend a wealth environment, sound natural resources and environment management. The current status is that the Victoria basin is made up of a great variety of ecosystems that provide a wide range of good services for the population in the basin. The basin has become under pressure as described above.
The stress and changes on ecosystems disturbed biodiversity loss of habitat along lake shores forestry degradations, flood plan degradation decrease in fish biodiversity wildlife degradations, agriculture activities inadequate sect oral environment legislation and  regulations coupled with weak enforcement capacity which have contributed a deterioration of the ecological integrity of the basin. Hard and liquid waste have contributed big threat to human health and the environment, ravaging of the earth topology through cutting of trees (deforestation) for domestic, consumption burning of the bushes which also kills all biodiversity and some important bacteria which play a great role in decomposition of biomass in the soil for increased soil fertility.
However management of human waste material that the people living in highlands it is found throw away their fiscal matter by using plastic bags while Urine are discharged out from hilltop find the way down ward without knowing exactly where is it passes ie. They don’t have proper tool for storage of faces and urine, this disguising strange immorality but research show that its rampant particularly in   Geita wards.
Not only that but also most of residents of Geita region are vulnerable to poverty (low income generation capacity) hence REMA organization aim to evacuate the community from poverty through emphasizing on Bee-keeping in the sense that many families would engage on the program which could rise up their income.
1.3 PROPOSED SOLUTIONS/ APPROACHES
Our project intends to stage an Environmental Education campaign and information disseminations to raise people’s awareness at grass root level so that they attain a tool of understanding in things related to Environmental plundering and how to reverse the situation through participatory approach while caring and supporting vulnerable children’s in Geita district by providing them food clothes, Education facilities and sending home displaced children’s.
The project shall promote and encourage community education awareness for a sustainable development of the basin, we intend to co-operate with stakeholders through participatory  approach in respect of sustainable use of the donor resources appropriately and in so doing reversing the ecosystem in its naturality to assure sustainable forestry practices  Agro-forestry and a forestation pasture husbandry, appropriate agriculture and land use, soil and water conservation, promotes of sustainable development and management of  wetlands,  Environmental health with reference to sanitation and hygiene.
The female gender will be given equal opportunities   equal access to education and training the female gender will be empowered on decision making, planning and project executions to be more specific on gender mainstreaming concerning Bee-keeping programs.
In case of tree planting demonstration units that there will be the raising of seedling in 15 demonstration sites in Geita and the organization will impose by laws on nursery and tree management. These by laws will have to be passed by the village themselves or streets members.
2.1 DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT IDEA/PROBLEM
Bee-keeping involve the socio-economic practices of keeping bees for bee-wax and honey production and forest resource management. Geita region is covered by Forest resource, however most of the region population is vulnerable under absolute poverty, this as to say there is poor utilization of Forest resource particularly in Bee-keeping which could improve human nutrition and rise up individual’s economy after the harvest of bee-wax and honey which is to be consumptive as food or sold within a family level.
Hence the community would not continue to suffer or being vulnerable and/or engulfing poverty in their families instead there is a positive solution of the existing problem through utilization of Geita forest resource (Bee-keeping).
Putting it into consideration due to its importance to the residents of Geita region and facilitating Forest resource conservation in Geita region, REMA as Non- Governmental Environmental organization decided to establish “Bee-keeping project in Geita region” so as to improve human health, poverty eradication and emphasizing  environmental conservation.

2.2 LOCATION/SITE OF THE PROJECT
Geita is one of the Regions of Tanzania, lying Southwest of Lake Victoria. The region has the largest number of mining centers than any other region and district around the LVG. It has four major ASM centers namely Nyarugusu, Nyakagwe, Mgusu and Rwamagasa. These have several satellite centers of their own. Instead of having mining centers also the area is so strategic on Natural forests which can support habitat for bees and hence facilitate bee- keeping program. Those natural forests in Geita include Nyakabale, Mgusu, and Nyarugusu forests. The project will be conducting around all districts of Geita region especially areas which are accessible to forest resources and areas with conducive environment for bee habitation.

2.5    TARGET GROUP
•    At a general level our target group of this project is the population as a whole community members in Region of Geita.
•    But more specifically the largest group will comprise the youth, women whose environmental education impact plays a great role in their own emancipation, REMA as one of Environmental stake holders has acquired enough experience for having pursued various program concerned to Bee-keeping activities of the same kind in area such as Dodoma, Singida and Tabora. In this context REMA will be involved to facilitate the project because it has ever since been responsible for project design and construction and it is therefore charged of project execution and implementation.
•    It’s our expectation that, project execution will automatically change people’s attitudes toward environmental management particularly on natural forest management, the project through people participation will cultivate a sense of ownership and obligations therefore, and people will take care.
•     Additionally people will be sensitized and empowered to do things of their concern, and through approach mentioned above, people will be made to believe that the project is creation of their own mind and  rising their economy hence they will tend to be more vigilant in terms of functional.

3.0 METHODOLOGY
3.1 OBSERVATION
This will involve physical observation on analyzing the situation or areas in Geita region which are likely to support Bee-keeping especially areas with forest and located near to water sources. Also observation method will be used the time when the project will be on its implementation, observing areas where the project is either successful or where is doing worse so as to facilitate project evaluation (Project running Situation Analysis).
