Intervita Onlus

A three years Partnership with Intervita Onlus, an Italian Milan Based Intenational NGO and having a country office in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, started May 2012 for implementing a project "Improving Quality of Education in 4 schools of Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaa"

The project aims at contributing towards a child centered, gender sensitive, universal quality primary education in Tanzania. the specific objective is to ensure that quality basic education is provided to 4 target schools (Buza, Kibondemaji, Mtoni Kijichi and Bwawani) in oeder to enhance the educational achievement of 11,000 pupils (5,500 girls) by 2015. the project acts on improvement of: (a) the teaching capabilities of 231 (181F) teachers, (b) the learning and teaching environment; (c) health and sanitation; (d) the appliation of fundamental rights of childrn and girls; (e) leadership, management and governance; (f) the pro-activity and the participation of all school actors.

Stromme Foundation

Stromme Foundation (SF) has been a vital partner providing funds, capacity building and technical support to OCODE since 2003 under a Community Based Education Intervention (CBEI) Program. CBEI program which is being implemented in selected public schools in Temeke Municipality has already benefited 16 schools (including 4 schools -Chamazi, Kilakala, Kingugi, and Veterinary- currently under intervention). The CBEI under SF/OCODE partnership is mainly aimed to enhance educational achievement of 12,816 (6701 girls) pupils through improving learning and teaching environment.
