5.Increase the women contestant in local election 2014.

The project was aiming to increase awareness of women on human rights and gender equality among the societies.

One major achievement which needs to be up-scaled and rolled out is the success of KAniDA in changing the mind set and confidence building of women to contest for political leadership positions. In 2014 KAniDA conducted training for 70 women in confidence building and participation in decision making processes. In the local government elections that followed after the training in that year, 32 of the training participants came out and registered to contest for village chairperson positions. However for what is seen as gender injustice, only five of those contestants were nominated by their parties. Fortunately ALL the nominated five women won in the elections. This implied that had the nomination given more chances to women, more women would have won the elections. However, the fact that women came out in big numbers to contest for the first time was by itself an achievement. It made other women realize their potentiality. It also made men realize that even women CAN do it. Furthermore, the winning of all the women who were nominated did send a message to the communities that women can be accepted by society to lead, if given the chance

The project was funded by The Foundation for civil society

6. Chicken building.

7. Stop women domestic violence.
