CMMUT has come up with a FIVE YEAR DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN (SP) which was developed after a number of discussions and meetings with beneficiaries and groups involved in Environmental Conservation in Mvomero and Morogoro districts. It took almost a month to come up with this PLAN which was developed through PARTICIPATORY meetings involving beneficiaries (see images), leaders and opinion leaders.

Environment being a key factor to development, CMMUT has through this Strategic plan sought of a way in which environment could be conserved whilst improving standards of living among inhabitants along the Uluguru Mountains (part of the famous Eastern Arc Mountain).This is only possible by creating alternative Income generating Activities, building capacities of individuals and establishment of trees and fruits nurseries to be planted in the open capes of mountains.

The total package for five years is expected to be $900,000. Annual plans will be drawn from the SP for implementation.
