Announcement For A Post Of On-line Fundraising Consultant

Children Care Development Organization (CCDO) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with legal registration number ooNGO/ 00003818 and mandated to operate in the United Republic of Tanzania in East Africa as a national NGO. CCDO aims to create thousands jobs for women in rural Tanzania. A job means an income for these women, as well as economic autonomy and an escape from the cycle of poverty. It also means their children can go to school, which increases their chances of a better future. CCDO provides business knowledge to unlock the growth potential of social businesses in rural Tanzania that employ mainly women. We work to promote education, health care and vocational training skills through carpentry, ICT and tailing since we have already mobilized vocational training tools (computers, sewing machine and carpentry tools) from Workaid in England, TWAM Tools With A Mission in United Kingdom, World Computer Exchange in U.S.A and the Gereedscharp in the Netherlands.

The Children Care Development Organization (CCDO) it was officially registered on 13rd April 2010 with head offices (headquarters) at Nduli Street within Iringa Municipality of Iringa Region in Tanzania.

Achievement

We have achieved to purchase 10 acres of land at Nduli Street within Iringa Municipality of Iringa Region where we constructed our own school known as Peace Flame Pre and Primary School with pupils from kindergarten KG1, KG2, KG3 and pupils from Standard I up to Standard VII. The total pupils are 306. Most of the pupils re originated from poor families with low income, needy orphans, street children and pupils who are coming from rich families who support the school for our future sustainability project.

The Peace Flame School it has other potential project such as Peace Flame School Medical Center – the Peace Flame School Medical Center project if has managed to mobilize medical hospital equipment from our Water for Africa in Australia partner and the Medical Center it offers free health care services to poor marginalized women, needy orphans / Street children and elderly persons but those who are coming from rich families or affordable families in terms of incomes are the one who make this health center more sustainability for our future cash flow income.

We also established our Hope Textiles Industry project for empowering poor rural marginalized women living in difficulties environment. In this Hope Textiles Industry we have 127 sewing machines but we are lacking manufacture of garment digital machines such as spinning machines, machines for weaving and knitting, machines for printing, and machines for dyeing.

We have managed to construct Hope Textiles Industry buildings and canter for Hope Textiles Industry workers.

CCDO works with various partners to reach its goal of creating thousands jobs for women in rural Tanzania. It is our strategy to build long term relationships with our partners that believe in our approach and support us financially, since the objective of this post announcement is to provide assistance to the head or the board of the organization in identifying donor resources, raising funds and writing proposals for long-term organizational sustainability.

For that purpose we are requesting online fundraising Consultant who can help us to setup our project business in professional means. The responsibilities / roles / duties of our online Fundraising Consultant will involve the following;

1)    Recruiting, organizing and inspiring volunteers.

2)    Researching fundraising opportunities and writing grant applications to the Children Care Development Organization (CCDO)

3)    Building relationships with major donors or companies.

4)    Preparing and delivering presentations.

5)    Researching potential sponsors, writing funding proposals and sending these to potential sponsors.

6)    Creating marketing and promotional activities.

7)    Developing fundraising events.

8)    Maintaining records of sponsors.

9)    Organizing campaigns that will lead to donations.

10)                  Training volunteers.

11)                  Developing the fundraising strategy in the East Africa.

12)                  Support CCDO in the development of fundraising strategy and action plans.

13)                  Identify and approach possible funding partners and develop relationships with key decision makers.

14)                  Write and present proposals to new funding partners.

15)                  Establish partnerships with funding partners and maintain relationship.

16)                  Maintain a website and regularly update it with information about organization’s work

17)                  Assist the Director in writing concept notes, project ideas and project proposals and ensure their timely submission

18)                  Undertake independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization

19)                  Assist the Director in developing business plans to generate income from various sources.

20)                  Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
