Zanzibar Preschool Madrasa Organisatio has been playing its role to reach the focus through coordination and facilitation of unity and relationship among the schools graduated from ZMRC building their capacity to an effective and acountable leadership to enable the Madrasa preschools to achieve sustainable effects and progress.

On the other hand, with the consent of its members, ZPMO has been assisting, contributing, participating, supporting and adopting with the activities and projects of its members and even secure some aid and assistance from other organizations.

Since its existance in 1999 ZPMO has been working so hard:

(i)To provide its leaders with basic skills on management, fundraising techniques, financial management and monitoring and evaluation skills.

(ii)To publicize its activities to local and foreign stakeholders through its profile, mass media, posters and brochures.

(iii) To hold regular meetings with the stakeholders and invite them to the various madrasa pre-school activities such as Madrasa Day, General assembly.

(iv) To participate in different local and international meetings, workshops, seminars, symposiums and exhibitions discussing laws, policy.

(v) To mobilise resources to enable it account for the activies under its objectives.           

(vi) To monitor and evaluate teachers’ responsibilities and accountability in 38 member madrasa preschools.

(vii)To mobilize teachers and societies to develop and use teaching and learning materials and provide the 38 madrasa pre-schools with other teaching and learning materials like books,manilla sheets e.t.c

(viii) To improve security in 30 member madrasa preschools by constructing security fences.

(ix) To mobilize The Community Resource Teams (CRTs) and School Management Committees (SMCs) in 38 madrasa pre-schools to construct the classroom and field sports facilities.

(x) To generally improve the quality and accountability of all 38 madrasa pre-schools by providing them with modern ECD teaching and learning resources.

(xi) To invite various local and international potential donors and stakeholders to pay visits to ZPMO office and our 38 madrasa pre-schools to learn from our activities and get to discuss the areas where we can establish partnership.

(xii)To struggle on enabling ZPMO establish its own investments that would facilitate the availability of potential resources for the organisation sustainability.
