Tanzania Network of Journalists Living with HIV (TNJ+) Executive Chairman, Zephaniah Musendo today June 24, 2010 met with the Chief Executive Officer of the National Council of People Living with HIV/AIDS (NACOPHA) Deogratius Peter at the Council headquarters at Manzese in Dar es Salaam on making the Council more effective. The NACOPHA CEO talked about enhancing the Council's visibility and particularly the importance of having a Communications Officer in the Council. He believed that since TNJ+ was a network of professionals living with HIV it could bridge the gap which is now existing between the Council and its publics. He said he would propose to bring on board Zephaniah Musendo as Communications Officer; and asked the TNJ+ Executive Chairman to assume that role immediately on voluntary basis. Musendo said the most significant thing was empowerment, for he said TNJ+ had no resources and office facilities for the time being. However, NACOPHA CEO said he would be prepared to forward whatever requirements to TACAIDS in order to facilitate Musendo perform that role.
