Women and girls with disabilties are human being who need equal rights and opportunities in our societies as it is to the women that have no disability. The women and girls with disabilities are deprived, descriminated  and marginalized from the available resources and opportunities economically, socially and politically.

There are various factors which contribute to underdevelop the women and girls with disabilities. These include negative attitude of the community towards people with disabilities, lack of political will that leads to poor implementation of policies, laws and strategies of national and Internationals.

Poverty is prevailing  Phenomena among the women and girls with disabilities. Unfortunately  most of girls with disabilities come from poor families.

The whole community should be concerned with the involvement of women and girls with disabilities  in development

Well, however, we have what we call special groups. They should be
given priorities as considered to be special group. We have policies/
laws and different declaration not only at national level but also
internationally. The problems comes on implementation. I would
encourage all activists to put this in mind that special groups should
be considered in all sphere.

Thank you for supporting this we call special groups, they are real special as I have experienced working with them as a proffesional for almost five years now. What I like to share with you is that may your efforts be focussed much on creating an inclusive society by trying to make these societies through community awareness events to give these people equal opportunities in all aspects of life and not priorities because they only need to be regardes as equal members of their societies. I think this will help to minimize lebleling of them by providing services which when you look it in details,the services may handicap them.
