Home visits to Samwel.
Samuel Mushi, a boy from maili sita Moshi was born with disability 7 years ago. He attended to rehabilitation service for only one week when he was two years old. Due to the lack of bus fare, Samuel failed to continue with rehabilitation until when we recentily idenitify him and took him to CCBRT Moshi to start rehabilitation.
Due to the lack of rehabilitation services, Samuel developed severe deformities in his both legs and he needed a special wheelchair supportive seat.
This is how we found Samuel crowling.

The team of four left Moshi at 8.00 a.m. on the 28th. of September, 2012. The purpose of this outreach was to visit 2 of our members and find out how they were getting along after being discharged from the hospital.
We first called on Ms. Shamim Hassan. Who lives at Majengo kwa Shamshi. Shamim is T6/T7 which she sustained after a road accident. She is 28 years old, a single mother of 3 children aged between 5 and 16 years. The father of the older children is deceased while the father of the younger one is less concerned with the care of his child. Shamim has no job and depends on handouts from friends, well wishers, and neighbours. She lives in a rented room for which the rent is currently in 3 months arrears.
Shamim is able to perform most chores by herself. She takes care of her hygienic needs. She is not able to transfer from the wheelchair onto bed and vice versa. She does not have an appropriate wheelchair. Also her room is squeezed and not accessible. Even though she washes, and cooks on her own.
Health: Shamim has no pressure sores and knows how to inspect herself and how to relief pressure so as to avoid the sores.
Income Creation: As observed above, Shamim has no gainful employment and depends on well wishers for her livelihood. It is difficult because the well wishers are not well to do people. They have their own problems too. Before the accident, Shamim was a street food vendor. If given a small capital she could go back to her food vending business. A figure of 100,000/= would suffice to start her off.
