SFASM is the abbreviation words that stand for Scholars Focus Against Social Miseries.The idea of Scholars Focus Against Social Miseries Organisation was initiated at St Augustine University of Tanzania Mtwara Centre on 20th December 2009,that is because Mtwara is among of the poorest region in Tanzania with high  rate of HIV infections,high number of illiteracy,street children as well as corruption. However in general Sfasm deals with different social miseries specifically Corruption,,HIV/AIDS Infections and Ignorance in general.

Moreover the main objectives of introducing and establishing of SFASM is provision of Mass Education to the local people (especially Southern Zone).SFASM participates in many social activities by using radio,brochures,leaflets and debates including to motivates youth in activism and imparting people knowledge as the solutions of differents social problems that hinders development socially and economically for example corruption.
