TTB INAUGURATES SWAHILI INTERNATIONAL TOURISM EXPO PROGRAMME IN SOUTH AFRICA
In an effort to promote Tanzania tourism, the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) led a delegation to Durban, South Africa, to participate in a four-day INDABA Tourism Fair, which was held at the Albert Luthuli Convention Center (ICC) from April 11 – 14, 2013. The Fair was organized by Witch & Wizard Creative (Pty) Ltd.
This is part of a regular TTB programme, which this time involved a total of 52 private companies and public institutions for the INDABA event.
The Tanzania Tourist Board took advantage of this crucial moment to officially inaugurate its Swahili International Tourism Expo (SITE) programme targetting inbound and outbound travel and trade exhibitions using conferences as a selling point for tropical tourism, sustainability, conservation and other market related issues.
The Swahili International Tourism Expo (SITE) is Tanzania’s first ever international annual programme developed by TTB and is scheduled to be held in October, this year, at the Mlimani City Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam. It is expected to draw hundreds of international tourism and travel intellectuals.
