What we ask today is … whether our government … works — whether it helps families find jobs at civil earnings, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Wherever the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Wherever the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the community’s monetary will be held to account, to waste wisely, revolutionize terrible habits, and do our dealing in the warmth of day.
