I may say that poverty in africa is man-made because in any development,we considered active participation of 4 things;Land,Labour,Capital and Enterpreneur.Let's look what we have from these 4 things;
- Land is not a problem in many african states,the problem can be idleness of land only
- Labour also isnot problem,we see how african population growth goes in very alarming rate.Nigeria,South africa and even Tanzanians have large growth rate in population but maybe the problem will be high illiterate rate and brain drain
- Enterpreurship :Africans are enterpreurs by-birth following the history of informal education since pre-colonial eras.The problem is we lack the formal skills or knowledge which can give maximum yield.
- Capital is a very big problem to africans.This is a reason of why we sign unfavourable treaties with investors.It is a cause of unrest and all our problems.
