Zanzibar national environmental policy was formulated in 1992. In a normal situation it was supposed to be reviewed after 10 years that is 2002. This was not done. After four years delay  the process to review the policy  started in 2006/7 and Iwas part to it. Since then it has been silent and nothing has been hard from the authority concerned. Is authority concerned with protection and conservation of our environment serious about the issue. If yes why such a long delay? My fellow zanzibaris let us come out and discuss this openly because it a question of our life and the life of next generation of zanzibaris.
