
Identification Process and Tracking System for Monitoring MVC/OVC
Poverty, economic, social disintegration and the effects of HIV/AIDS epidemic have resulted in an increase in the number of orphans and vulnerable children.
The traditional ways of caring for OVC are being eroded by number of factors including the impact of HIV/AIDS. Orphaned children present a serious social, emotional and economic burden for society. The challenges to communities is to find solutions to the increased number of vulnerable children and families
With the above regard, the FMVCT has initiated interventions to identify and developing tracking system for ease monitoring and follow up for MVC/OVC, this has necessitate the involvement of community committee members, local leadership at village and ward level to enhance the understanding and community involvement at grassroots level
With commitments to fulfill its objectives and implement the interventions, FMVCT has fetch around 500 potential MVC /OVC since its inception in 2008, the process is on going
