Introduction

FUTURE FOR MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN TANZANIA (FMVCT) is newly established non – profitable organization under the Ministry of Community Development Gender and Children with Registration No. is 00NGO/00002321.
The organization was established to undertake the activities of advocating and voicing the rights of the children in Tanzania with reference to MVC.
FMVCT was formed early 2007 and registered in 2008 and got its official recognition under the Ministry of Community Development Gender and Children.
The organization is based in Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania; FMVCT targeted to make intervention to different districts in Tanzania including Kinondoni, Bagamoyo, Kilolo, Njombe, Mufindi, Kasulu, Kibondo and Mpanda. Districts but currently operating within one Municipality of Kinondoni at Bunju and Mbweni Wards.
It is well known that, the problems of children who are living in difficult circumstances are increasing enormously now and then. This particular group of children has become marginalized, disadvantaged and underprivileged in the entire community though there are non-governmental organizations re-emerging almost everywhere in the country.
The problem has escalated to child labor, alcoholism, drug abuse; health problems, social disorder, economic disruption and deterioration of the quality of labor force of the nation. These problems put them to be vulnerable to contracting diseases like HIV/AIDS.
It is evident and acknowledged that the efforts of the governmental organizations, religious organizations and other private organizations to overcome the problem of children at risk need extra support from the entire community.

We have seen the problem of orphans who have lost single or both parents, and social orphans who have lost contacts with their parents. These children encounter a lot of problems and finally end up being vulnerable to the economic, social, political, and environment challenges.
Therefore, we found that is important for us to compliment the government efforts in line with the new national policy of helping the needy children, basing on the available community resources, and discourage the orphanage centers as the alternative way of raising children and giving them support.
We are very much determining to build community that is fully responsible for marginalized, disadvantaged and underprivileged group of children in Tanzania.
The organization works to support children and promote their rights and ensure them physical, psychological, cognitive, moral and social development.
FMVCT beliefs and seeks to engage the community in intervention through its philosophy of “informing and engaging the community in transformation process.” Parents, guardians and the entire community are the core essence to spearhead the intervention.
FMVCT believes that for children to realize their fully potential, we need to build their strengths and maximize their opportunities.
