Some of the causes of Street Children are family weak ties;

  • what can we do in order to strengthen these family ties?
  • What are your suggestions, Africa is leading to have more children in towns and they are here to stay as towns replaces the family as a place for socialization but they are exposed to specific major risks.
  • As it is a community problem when they are already in towns what is your suggestion as part of the community?

We believe unless we deal with this problem many of our children who we think are safe will have the same characters, as they are the friends of the street children. Parents especially the ones with low income do send children to the street to sell some food or other commodities in order to sustain themselves we regard these as also street children. It is said that they have developed the same characters. What percentage is this? As the number grows up we become more unsafe.

Some provided strategies below can help solve this problem, let’s work together and fund raise for these kids. Accommodation food and clothing including safety and Health care is key in supporting them. Choose one area you can!

In Tanzania we are approaching 50 million people these most vulnerable children are approaching 2million, If only two million people decide to support one child each the problem will be solved we will not see them on the street and we will be safe.

We believe in the power of one, if you and I can begin doing simple things to these young street children, we will make a difference.

Welcome to this discussion....

@International Youth Development Program (Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam): Great discussion. But how can your average person help these street children???? It seems very overhelming!

@Citizen: It all begins with one, when me and you and some other personchange a life one street child will end up reaching many or all. We need to feel part of the change and begin to act now! By joining such campaigns like IYDP strategies n many many other organizations who cares about street children.
