Youth Action Development (YAD) ni shirika lisilo la kiserikali linaloshughulikia maendeleo ya jamii ya Tanzania na hasa limejikita katika maendeleo ya vijana. Shirika hili linafanya kazi kwa manufaa ya watanzania wote na si kwa ajili ya kunufaisha kundi la watu au mtu binafsi. Youth Action Development ni shirika lisilo la kiserikali linaloshughulikia maendeleo ya vijana kwa matendo. Shirika ambalo halina ubaguzi wa Rangi, Kabila, Dini au Jinsia, lenye namba ya usajili SO. No. 14486 ya mwaka 2006 chini ya sheria No. 5 ya mwaka 1954 na kupata cheti cha ukubalifu mwaka 2007, No 1811 chini ya sheria ya NGO ya mwaka 2002 . Shirika hili linafanya kazi kwa manufaa ya watanzania wote na si kwa ajili ya kunufaisha kundi la watu au mtu binafsi. Asasi hii ilianza kufanya kazi zake rasmi mwaka 2009 katika mkoa wa Dar es salaam. Lengo kuu la shirika hili ni kusaidiana na Serikali ili kufikia lengo la kukuza uchumi na kupunguza umaskini ambalo ni MKUKUTA II na MKUZA pia na kufikia lengo la Milleniam (MDGs). Shirika hili liaanza kufanya shughuli zake mwaka 2004 likiitwa Kinondoni peer educators, wakati huo lilikuwa halijasajiliwa. Limesajiliwa rasmi mwaka 2006 na kupata cheti cha ukubalifu mwaka 2007. Tulianza na wanchama 11 kwa sasa tuna wanacha 47.

6.0 CAPACITY STATEMENT The founders and Management of YAD are diversity of professionalism which include Public health specialist, masters or postgraduate in Education, social welfare, media specialist, Economists, Business administration, Human resource development, Accounts and financial management, social scientist, political science, and animators.
7.0 ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE OF YAD YAD is guided by a registered Constitution. The highest decision-making organ is the General Meeting (GM) which meets once in year. The GM elects members of the Executive Committee which oversees the implementation of YAD strategic plans and other guidelines approved by the GM. The Executive Committee comprises the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, The Secretary General, The Deputy Secretary, The Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, and other seven members. The day today activities of YAD are carried out by program officers under the leadership of the Executive Director who is appointed by the Executive committee of YAD. ORGANIZATION CHART OF YAD
8.0 ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT SO FAR Year 2007 – 2010: Conducted training on Family health education to primary and secondary schools in Kinondoni municipal. The photos below shows some of the classes of pupils learning on how to handle the problem of early pregnant and STIs.
Year 2011: Conducted a workshop on organizational capacity building and Fund Rising to all member and founders of YAD. The following photo shows the members of YAD attending on the workshops.
Year 2012 – 2013: Conducted Social Accountability and Monitoring on Education sector and Land laws in Mburahati, Mabibo and Makurumula wards at Kinondoni municipal. Below, the first photo shows the leaders of YAD, the second shows the participant of SAM workshop at Mburahati word and the last photo shows the Members of YAD with Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Mizengo K. Pinda on the ground area of the House of parliament in Dodoma region. (April 2013).
