Shule ya sekondari Mpotola ilianzishwa kwa nguvu za wananchi mnamo Mwaka 2006 tarehe 16 Januari, Baadaya ya aliyekuwa Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Mtwara Mheshimiwa Ndg Ishidor Shirima akiongozana na Afisa elimu wa Mkoa wa Mtwara Ndg Wahab Essay kuridhishwa na kufurahishwa na juhudi za wanakijiji wa Mandala kujenga shule yao ya Msingi iliyosababisha kuhama katika eneo la sekondari hii na kuhamia eneo lenye majengo mapya.

Ili kutopoteza historia ndipo Mheshimiwa Mkuu wa Mkoa akatoa zawadi kwa wanakijiji wa kata ya Kitangari wajenge Shule ya Sekondari katika eneo la majengo yaliyoachwa na ambayo yalikuwa machakavu.

Hapa shule ilianza kujengwa kwa michango mbalimbali ya wananchi kwa kiasi kikubwa ikichangiwa nan mavuno ya Korosho hivyo kukatwa Tshs 10/= kwa kila kilo ya Korosho ambayo imeiwezesha shule kufikia kuwa na madarasa 8 ya nguvu za wananchi na 2 ya serikali kuu. Pia shule ina Nyumba 2 za walimu na matundu ya vyoo 12. Shule inakosa majengo mbalimbali ikiwa ni pamoja na Maabara kwa masomo yote ya sayansi, Jengo la utawala, bwalo, mabweni, Ofisi za Idara, Maktaba na Ofisi za ushauri shule haina Jiko wala ukumbi wa mikutano

Kwa sasa Shule ina wanafunzi 604 kati yao wasichana ni 297 na wavulana 307 ina walimu 6 na wafanyakazi wa muda ambao hulipwa kwa michango ya wananchi 3

Kupitia tovuti hii shule inakusudia kuendelea kupanua wigo wa mradi wake wa ujenzi wa madarasa, Maabara, jengo la utawala na Mabweni.

Shule inaomba kwa mashirika hisani kusaidia katika hili ili shule iweze kufikia malengo yake ya kufikia kipeo cha maendeleo na kufuta umaskini kwa wananchi wa kitangari na Tanzania kwa ujumla

School Mpotola founded by the powers of the public in 2006 on 16 January, after the former governor of Mtwara Excellency Mr Ishidor Shirima accompanied by Chief Education Region Mtwara Mr Wahab Essay satisfied and pleased with the efforts of the villagers of the mandala to build schools Their Primary effected a shift in the location of this school and moving to an area with new buildings.

To kutopoteza history then Governor General Sir gave gifts to the villagers to build Kitangari County Secondary School in the area of buildings that were left and depreciation.

Here the school began construction of the various contributions of citizens largely ikichangiwa nan Cashew harvest so cut Tshs 10 / = per kilo of Cashew imeiwezesha schools which have classes meet 8 of the power of the people and 2 of the central government. Also the school has two teachers' houses and holes in the toilet 12. The school lacks a variety of buildings including the Laboratory for all subjects of science, administration building, bwalo, dormitories, offices of government departments, libraries and school counseling office has no stove and venue of meetings

For now school has 604 pupils between them are 297 girls and 307 boys has six teachers and staff whose time is paid to the contributions of third countries

Through this site the school intends to continue to expand the scope of his project of construction of classrooms, laboratories, administration building and dormitory.

The school is requesting for charitable organizations to assist in this school can achieve its goals of achieving maximum development and poverty reduction for the citizens of kitangari and Tanzania in general
