A: HISTORY OF NYAKITONTO YOUTH FOR DEVELOPMENT TANZANIA (NYDT)

• NYDT: Was initiated and established by 15 founder members in September 2010 as NGO’S basing on Entrepreneurship , Educational issues,health,capacity building targeting , youths and women  in primary schools, secondary, universities & youths on society by Involving them on how to combat poverty, promotion of self-help ventures, provides free mentoring and Literacy programs to youths in Tanzania from low-income communities, homeless and on poor societies.                                           

• NYAKITONTO YOUTH FOR DEVELOPMENT TANZANIA (NYDT) –Was duly registered under the NGOs Act No.24/2002 on 09/05/2011 with registration no. 00NGO/00004547 & certified by the National NGOs coordination Board.

D. ORGANIZATION PROFILE STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

a)     To involve young male and females in meaningful dialogue through participatory forums, workshops and seminars as a way to develop education in Kigoma, and Tanzania at large.

b)     To create space for youth to discuss social, political and economic issues related to poverty reduction and employment creation E.g. creation of small business.

c)      To prepare   [forums, youth parliaments, dialogues, workshop, and seminars] for women and youths on health issues, reduce maternal mortality rate and obstetric provision.

d)Cooperating with other stake holders in addressing poverty by creating jobs to youths at individual family and community level.
