Alliance for AIDS Control and Children Development (AACD) was established in June 12,2008 at Mwandiga ward in Kigoma rural district with 20 founding members.Currently it has 40 active members.Among these members 15 are men and 25 are women.The organisation has a board which is made up of 9 members from among the members of the entire organization and among these 9 board members 6 are women.
