You can dress in kanga or salon with a cup, typical Swahili head dress. It is a wonderful experience of cultural tourism. Other coasts will be met by the client

Tanzania Home Of The “World’s Best Hotel” Singita Grumeti Reserves

Singita Grumeti Reserves named best hotel in the world for the second consecutive year by Travel + Leisure magazine’s World Best 2012 Awards.

(July 24, 2012, New York, NY) Singita Grumeti Reserves, located along the Western corridor of Tanzania’s legendary Serengeti National Park, was named best hotel in the world for the second consecutive year by Travel + Leisure magazine’s World Best 2012 Awards.  Five luxury properties in Tanzania were among the Top 20 Lodges and Resorts in Africa and the Middle East selected by Travel + Leisure magazine’s readers, as well.

Honorable Ambassador Khamis S. Kagasheki, Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, in commenting about Singita Grumeti being awarded the “World’s Best Hotel” second year in a row, said “this demonstrates that Tanzania is increasingly being recognized for its growing number of world-class properties and its expanding luxury safari product.  Tanzania aims to provide the best travel experience possible to every visitor to our country.”

Tanzania to host First Pan-African Conference on Sustainable Tourism Management in National Parks and Protected Areas

At the gracious invitation of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, the World Tourism Organization is organizing the First Pan-African Conference on Sustainable Tourism Management in National Parks and Protected Areas: Challenges and Opportunities in Arusha from 15 to 18 October 2012. The Conference is being organized in collaboration with the Tanzanian Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism.

TTB SPORTS OPTION CAMPAIGN MOVES TO USA

Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) promotion campaign via sports option has moved to the United States of America. This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and Washington – based Seattle Soccer LLC (SSL) which took place in Dar Es Salaam in mid July 2012.

The inauguration of the campaign, which is jointly funded by the TTB, Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), and The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), took place at Renton

The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Hon. Khamis Suedi Kagasheki (MP), as leader of the Tanzania Delegation.

According to the MoU, Tanzania’s tourist attractions including National Parks, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Culture, Beaches and Historical sites, would be displayed during major league soccer events of the season to attract more tourists from the US market.

After holding talks with the campaign hosts, The Tanzania delegation travelled to New York, where they met other tourism stake holders.

At the same time, TTB renewed it campaign contract with Lantech Service Limited of London to carry over the tourism promotion activity to the next English Premier League kicking off mid August 2012 to May 2013.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

On 20th June 2012, around 11pm, an incident happened where armed bandits raided a tourist camp in the Wildlife Management Area of Ikoma in Rubanda village, in the outskirts of Serengeti National Park. In the event, one of the foreign tourists and a Tanzanian were killed. The deceased tourist is Mr. Eric Brekelmans, a native of the Netherlands. A Tanzanian who was killed is Mr. Renatus Benard, an Assistant Manager of the camp.

 

The raided camp is known as Moivaro owned by the Moivaro Coffee Lodge. The deceased tourist was a client of the Leopard Tours Company of Arusha. During the event the camp had forty guests who were robbed of their possessions and travel documents.

 

Together, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Tanzania National Parks Authority, and the companies of Leopard Tours and Moivaro Coffee Lodge have taken steps to comfort the affected individuals, including the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Annelnes Brekelmans. Procedures for transporting the body of the deceased to Arusha today on June 21, 2012 have been completed. Other plans regarding funeral are in progress.

 

Police and Wardens of the Department of Wildlife and TANAPA, have jointly strengthened security in the tourist areas, and a search has begun to seek the bandits. The Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Hon. Khamis Kagasheki and Minister of Home Affairs, Hon. Nchimbi have already gone to the scene of the incident using the TANAPA aircraft.  Similarly, the Assistant Commissioner of Police who is in charge of tourism affairs, Mr. Kitalike has gone to the scene by the Police helicopter to enhance security operations and investigations.

 

The Ministry conveys its condolences. We would like to take this opportunity to assure visitors that every effort is taken to ensure their safety is in place, along with comfort when they are in the country.
