Hi !!!!!!  today i want to talk with you concern our institution (MEECO).  Among the activities we do are as follows:

• Participate in world youth seminar held on 8 August and was presented on the institutions that have succeeded in getting a grant from UNHABITAT. Unfortunately for the MEECO not lucky. Since the grant contained communities worldwide, statistics indicate that total institutions applied the grant were more than 5500 applications. Zanzibar was on the side of 767. Successful institution was 6.         2 from Unguja and 4 from Pemba. If you recall we wrote a project for youth participation in decision making and development planning. Therefore, we should identify you that were not our luck to get a grant project.
•  Day on 20 MEECO talent group went to make a show in the hotel at Marumbi Zanzibar and manager accepted them.

• Also among the activities we do at this stage is we got the right to participate in sanitation activities, which we believe is given to community friend
• Movements to celebrate the Feast festival arrived and we gathered to MEECO talent youth group we ate food together at home for Bi. Mwaju
• Days of the date 04.09.2011 Meeco members were joined in the activities of environmental sanitation at the community office
• Days of the date 09.05.2011 MEECO we got lucky to be visited by guests from Dar-es-Salam and is from the organization of the foundation for Civil Society. These guest were meant to visit meeco because if you remember meeco we apply for a grant for capacity building so we were lucky to pass the screening so they come to ensure the truth were wrote

Asasi ya Mwanakwerekwe Environmental Ethics and Cultural Organization(MEECO) kwa kushirikiana na American Corner English Club,siku ya jumamosi ya tarehe 23 July 2011 itafanya dhiara ya kwenda Kijiji cha Unguja Ukuu, mkoa wa Kusini Unguja wilaya ya Kati.Dhiara hiyo itakuwa na malengo yafuatayo:

1. Kuhamasisha Wanakijiji na Jamii ya Wazanzibar kwa ujumla umuhimu wa utunzaji,uhifadhi na Kulinda mazingira.
2. Nafasi za Asasi zisizo za kiserikali katika jamii ya Mtanzania
3. Umuhimu wa ushirikiano wa Asasi zisizo za kiserikali na uwongozi wa serikali za mitaa.

Shughuli zinazotarajiwa kufanyawa katika safari hiyo ni kama zifuatavyo:

• Kuonesha onesho la Mchezo wa Sarakasi litakalochezwa na Vijana wa Meeco Talent Group(MTG)
• Zoezi la upandaji wa miche ya mikoko
• Mashauriano kati ya Viongozi wa Kijiji na Wanadhiara.

 Katika safari hii mgeni mualikwa anategemewa kuwa Mwakilishi wa jimbo la Amani. Na mshauri wa kigeni wa Asasi ya MEECO  Miss. Katrina Demulling
