Tukosawa Women and Youth Alliance (TUKOSAWA) is a registered Non-governmental organization, registered in 28th April 2008. The organizational Vission is to see a sustainable improved quality lives of women, widows, OVC, youth and other marginalized groups. Our mission is To help Tanzanians particularly marginalized groups like children, youths, women, widows and disabled persons raise their living standards by identifying potential opportunities surrounding them and utilize efficiently and effectively so as to make life more meaningful them.
Currently, TUKOSAWA has two offices in Dar es Salaam and Dodoma region. Total number of staffs in the two offices sum up to 5 full time staffs, 3 part-time staffs and 6 volunteers. The Organization has a good governance record on financial management of the donor funds.
Since its establishment, TUKOSAWA has had enough and long expertise to provide quality HIV/AIDS and reproductive health education and OVC caring projects in Tanzania. We have implemented three projects to date from three different donors. The implemented projects are on OVC and provision of life skills and reproductive health to secondary school students. These three projects were funded by African Communities Network.
