CHILDREN AID Tanzania (CAT)'s Profile of key Staff and Board Members:

Eng. Daudi Makamba, CAT Board Chairperson; he is the chief Advisor, providing back stopping advisory support to ensure quality of product. Mr. Daudi Makamba has a Bachelor of Science Degree engineering in water resources management and land planning from Sokoine University, Tanzania and a Master's degree in Technology and Management for rural development, water and environmental health from Loughborough University, United Kingdom (UK). Mr. Daudi has engineering experience over 17 years in community based development projects particular skills in public health engineering- water, sanitation and hygiene promotion. Mr. Daudi worked as program engineer and program manager under Water Aid Tanzania. He has also worked with Plan International, Oxfam GB, Concern worldwide, Red Cross and Red Crescent, Cowater International as well as Danish Red Cross as program manager and program engineer in different countries.

Mr. Yusufu Walongole, CAT's Executive Director and Board Member, who is responsible for the overall management of CAT strategic and operation issues to ensure CAT mission and objectives are realized. Mr. Walongole is a holder of Master's degree in Administration, planning and policy as well as project management from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Mr. Walongole has over 16 years work experience in community based development projects. He has worked with different national and International NGOs in Tanzania and outside Tanzania for more than 10 years before joining Unicef School water, sanitation and hygiene programs in Temeke schools with Sanitation and Water Action (SAWA) as facilitator and Trainer. Currently he is the Executive Director of CAT, managing CAT projects and ensures delivery of quality services.

Mr. Njuwila Rukwembe, CAT's Finance Manager, responsible for CAT financial matters and operations. Mr. Rukwembe has an Advanced Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Financial Management (IFM), dar es salaam, Tanzania. Mr. Rukwembe has more than 7 years work experience in Accounting and Financial Management. He worked with Building Resource Across Communities (Brac) as an Accountant before joining Women Advancement Trust (WAT) as Credit Facilitator. Currently, he is heading the Accounts department of CAT as Finance Manager

Miss Monica Hokelai Mulungwana, CAT's Project Manager, responsible for management of all CAT projects including child protection programs, education, WASH and Environmental services. Ms. Monica Hokelai has an Advancement Diploma in Project Management from Hollands Folkhogskola College, Netherlands. She has over 5 years work experience in community development projects.

Miss Bertha Haule, Head of CAT's Learning Centre, responsible for all centre activities including management of children and youths affairs at the centre. Miss Bertha Haule is a holder of Diploma in Education specializing in early childhood education from Sinon College, Arusha, Tanzania. She has more than 5 years work experience in community projects.

Board Members include Mrs Anna Joseph Msoka, Mrs Aisha Abasi and Mr Omari Mikwaru. All board members have more than 10 years experience in community development projects including projects related to child protection programs, human rights, education and environmental and climate change resilience.

CAT is also supported by a team of Advisors. These are not CAT's Board Members, but would be contacted to provide advisory services in their areas of expertise. Some of these advisors have very long experience in community development projects. These include

Eng. Wilhelmina Malima (Mrs), is a CAT WASH Advisor who will be consulted for programmatic areas of organization functions, which include M & E, Documentation, advocacy and fundraising. Eng. Wilhemina Malima is a registered professional engineer with engineers Registration Board of Tanzania with more than 10 years work experience in aspects of water and environmental sanitation. She holds Msc in Sanitary Engineering. She has an experience in working with Government in local Autnority where they worked with Dodoma Municipal Council as Municipal water engineer, managing implementation of water projects for 3 years. Her experience with NGOs as gained through working for 7 years with Water Aid Tanzania as a program Manager overseeing the plans, budgets and implementation of WATSAN works, researches includes reporting in Dar es salaam and Kiteto in Manyara Region. She has worked as a WASH specialist with UNICEF Tanzania for 3 years taking forward sanitation and hygiene, school WASH programs, gender and plolicy advocacy. Supporting national level network of civil societies on voiccing on equitable WASH services for most vulnerable groups.

Mr. Masoud Thabiti: CAT's finance Advisor, who will be consulted for financial affairs of our organization and CAT's finance operation. Mr. Masoud is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) from the University of Dar es salaam and a postgraduate certificate in certified public Accountant (CPA), Tanzania. He has more than 10 years work experience in accounting and financial management.
