REGIONAL ALCOHOL  CONFERENCE--- IRINGA .

The conference  was held  at  NEEMA CRAFT CENTRE IRINGA. In welcoming the participants and guest  of honour,  the conference organizer  thanks all  stakeholders and participants to  make this conference possible in  Iringa.

 The conference was organized by the  local  NGO  called  IDYDC   and  sponsered by  National  NGO called  IOGT-NTO MOVEMENT  of Dar es salaam. The participants included NGO's leaders ,government officials, religious groups, and  the media. The theme of this regional alcohol conference  was: ALCOHOL IS AN  OBSTACLE TO DEVELOPMENT.

WHY  PRISON FELLOWSHIP TANZANIA PARTICIPATED?  Among  other organization's area of  working is  to  contribute towards curbing of crime at its roots and thus contributing to  national development. Prison  Fellowship  Tanzania will keep on  addressing  the alcohol issue due to  the fact  that alcohol ia  among  the main significant causes of crime inTanzania. Alcohol-related crime in  Tanzania incudes high risks sexual behaviour resulting in  HIV infection, domestic violences, child abuse. Other alcohol consequences are poverty, street  children, and health problems- damage to  brain cells, increase the risk of high blood pressure and  damage to  heart musclees. REGIONAL ALCOHOL MKUTANO --- Iringa.

Mkutano huo uliofanyika katika NEEMA Craft CENTRE Iringa. Katika kukaribisha washiriki na mgeni rasmi, mratibu wa mkutano wa wadau wote shukrani na washiriki kufanya mkutano huu inawezekana katika Iringa.

Mkutano huo ulioandaliwa na NGO za kuitwa IDYDC na sponsered ya Taifa ya NGO inayoitwa IOGT-NTO Movement of Dar es Salaam. washiriki ni pamoja na viongozi wa NGO, viongozi wa serikali, makundi ya kidini, na vyombo vya habari. kaulimbiu ya mkutano huu wa kikanda pombe ilikuwa: ALCOHOL ni kikwazo kwa maendeleo.

JELA WHY USHIRIKA TANZANIA walishiriki? Miongoni mwa eneo nyingine ya kufanya kazi ya shirika ni kuchangia katika kupambana na uhalifu katika mizizi yake na hivyo kuchangia katika maendeleo ya taifa. Prison Fellowship Tanzania wataendelea kushughulikia suala pombe kutokana na ukweli kwamba pombe IA miongoni mwa sababu kuu muhimu ya uhalifu inTanzania. Pombe-kuhusiana na uhalifu katika Tanzania incudes hatari kubwa tabia ya ngono kusababisha maambukizi ya VVU, violences ndani, unyanyasaji wa watoto. Nyingine pombe matokeo ni umaskini, watoto wa mitaani, na matatizo ya afya-uharibifu wa seli za ubongo, kuongeza hatari ya shinikizo la damu na uharibifu wa musclees moyo. Tunatoa wito juu ya Shirika yoyote kwa kujiunga nasi na kufanya lolote sapport katika kupunguza matumizi ya pombe katika Tanzania, na kuanza katika mkoa wa Iringa.
